Over 24 hours during the weekend of Saturday 2nd October, Foxrock Youth Group and over 3,000 others helped to build Ireland’s Largest & Only Cardboard house in Foxrock Church Car Park.

The event called the Boscathon involved building a “house” with 10,000 boxes decorated and built in 24 hours. On completion it covered 70 car park spaces measuring 20m by 20m! This was truly an extraordinary event and we are so grateful to all the young people, youth leaders, parents and everyone who took part.

Minister Mary Hanafin was one of the first “house” guests at 2pm and RTE’s Miriam O Callaghan, patron of the Children’s Sunshine Home was on site Sunday to help celebrate the “house warming”

The event was an enormous amount of FUN and created lots of awareness about The Children’s Sunshine Home, currently building LauraLynn House, Ireland’s First Hospice For Children.

Please note that you can continue to donate using the “sponsor me now” button via credit or debit card. You can be assured that your transaction on this site is very secure. You will automatically receive an e-mail from the Boscathon team thanking you for your support, and acknowledging the amount of your donation. Any donation no matter how small is hugely appreciated.

Many thanks again!
