Author Fran O’Brien launched her new novel
Fran O’Brien launched her new novel at Irish Writer’s Centre
She was joined by friends and supporters on the night to mark what is a remarkable achievement by Fran with the publication of ‘Passionate Woman’, her ninth novel. Fran kindly donates the proceeds from sales of her books to LauraLynn. She and her partner Arthur continue to be the face of LauraLynn at all of the many shows around Ireland where they promote her books as well as raise huge awareness for LauraLynn Children’s Hospice.
On the night, Fran also launched a bilingual reprint of Cuimhní Cinn – Memoirs written in 1951 by Fran’s granduncle, Professor Liam Ó Briain. This is of particular interest to many historians with the forthcoming centenary celebrations of 1916 as it deals with his experiences in the College of Surgeons during Easter Week 1916.
