Children’s Hospice Week 2017 is coming!
We were delighted to welcome our friends from TV3 to LauraLynn to launch our major fundraising initiative – Children’s Hospice Week – 22 to 28 May 2017!
Stars Alan Hughes (Ireland AM), Karen Koster (Xposé), Muireann O’Connell (The Six O’Clock Show) and Anna Daly (Saturday & Sunday AM) all donned their Superhero costumes to urge you to #beahero and help us raise vital funds for Ireland’s only Children’s Hospice.
Throughout Children’s Hospice Week TV3 will be partnering with LauraLynn. TV3 has raised much needed funds for Ireland’s only Children’s Hospice since 2014. This year they have incorporated a few TV3 programmes into the mix but with a difference. Viewers can expect a celebrity Gogglebox feature, a walk on part in Red Rock and a day in the life with families that use the LauraLynn facilities. The week will culminate with the main fundraiser day on Friday, 26 May and the first Children’s Hospice Telethon across all daytime programmes!
All funds raised during Children’s Hospice Week will provide specialised care and support for children with life-limiting illness and for their families. Unlike a hospital, a hospice focuses on how a child can live with their condition, and provide support for the wider family who are often under immense physical, emotional and financial pressure. LauraLynn supports the whole family and focuses on the quality of the child’s life and living well. To make the most of these short and precious lives.
