LauraLynn presents at Global Conference in Rome
The 2nd Congress on Paediatric Palliative Care: a Global Gathering is being hosted in Rome this week. We are delighted that key members of the LauraLynn team have been invited to present and share their knowledge and experience at the congress. They include:
- Dr Julie Ling – Head of Strategy – “Mapping of Paediatric Palliative Care Services in Europe; Results of the European Association for Palliative Care Survey”
- Dr Joanne Balfe – Consultant Paediatrician – “An Exploration of Medical Student´s Understanding of Paediatric Palliative Care and the Educational Value of a Short Teaching Programme in a Children´s Hospice”
- Claire Quinn – Head of Clinical Education and Research – “Seeking Excellence: A Baseline Study of the Clinical Learning Requirements of Staff within LauraLynn Ireland´s First Children´s Hospice”
- Kerry McLaverty – Clinical Service Coordinator– Presenting a research poster; “Music, Movement & Sensory Group Therapy. An Interdisciplinary Initiative in Children’s Palliative Care: Lessons Learned”
The aim of the congress is to engage with professionals worldwide by providing an international forum for interdisciplinary knowledge sharing experiences, current topics and new perspectives on key issues regarding palliative care for children and their families. The Congress is expected attract 400 delegates from over 40 countries across 4 continents working and interested in the area of children’s palliative care.
