Light UP LauraLynn with Miriam & Isaac

1 Dec

Miriam O’Callaghan and Isaac Boss joined us on Sunday last as we turned on the Christmas lights at LauraLynn.

Despite the inclement weather so many of our supporters battled the elements to join us at a special ceremony to mark the beginning of the festive season.  Isaac was on hand to help Hayden to switch on the lights on our 30 foot tree which was the centre piece of a magical wonderland which had been created over the past week by our committed staff and volunteers and supporters.

Visitors were invited to Pin a Ribbon on the  LauraLynn Wish Tree to symbolise a wish, hope or intention for the year ahead.  Festive food and hot drinks were enjoyed by all and the children were so excited to visit Santa’s Grotto.

Highlight of the evening were the wonderful choirs who sang their hearts out even when the heavens opened.   We were so excited as the The LauraLynn Choir made their debut with festive favourites and wrapped up the evening with an uplifting rendition of ‘Let it Go’ as the fireworks display lit up the skies behind.

Thank you to all for coming along and mark a very special time for families.
