Dr Joanne Balfe
Medical Director - Consultant Pediatrician, Children's Palliative Care Services
Dr Joanne Balfe is a Consultant Paediatrician with a special interest in neurodisability and paediatric palliative care. She has completed the Cardiff Diploma in Paediatric Palliative Medicine and a MSc in Healthcare Law and Ethics. Dr Balfe works closely with the care team in LauraLynn to provide palliative care to the children using our service
GP Support
Medical cover/support is provided to compliment the service being provided to the children in our care. G.P. services are provided on an as-needs basis.

Dr Eoin Spillane
Dr Eoin Spillane is a partner at The Carlton Clinic in Bray in 2008 and continues to enjoy working in this busy training practice. Eoin with his colleague Dr Mairéad Cassidy have a special interest in palliative care and have been providing GP services several years to children at LauraLynn.
He is currently undertaking a Diploma in Palliative Medicine from Cardiff University focusing on paediatric palliative care.

Dr Mairéad Cassidy
Dr Máiread Cassidy graduated from University College Galway in 1999 .She completed her GP training at the Royal College of Surgeons, Dublin in 2006. She is a partner at the Carlton Clinic, Bray and provides GP services at LauraLynn with her collegue Dr Eoin Spillane.
She is currently completing a two year Diploma in Palliative Medicine from Cardiff University. She is also a medical student trainer at the Royal College of Surgeons.
