Acting Head of Clinical Education & Research
Fiona Woods (RGN, RCN, RNT, BNS, MSc) was appointed as Nurse Tutor in April 2014. Previously she coordinated the education programmes –‘ Caring for the Child with a Life-Limiting Condition’ in Our Lady’s Children’s Hospital Crumlin. Her clinical experience includes caring for children in the community, disability services and Paediatric Intensive Care. Her research interests lie in developing education within children’s palliative care (CPC) and promoting self-care for the staff who care for children and their families.
Amanda Vaughan (MA) coordinates the clinical education programmes at LauraLynn as well as providing training on non-clinical courses, such as Communication Skills and Customer/Client Care. She has extensive experience at managerial level in training & development having worked in a variety of industries, ranging from retail to financial services. She joined the Clinical Education and Research Department at LauraLynn in 2013.
