Organise a LauraLynn event

How you raise money is totally up to you. You can be as creative as you’d like and organise any type of event – big or small. We are here to support you every step of the way to help you to maximise your fundraising efforts and ensure you have the most enjoyable time possible. Once you’ve decided, follow our 6 Simple Steps below to get the ball rolling:

1. BEFORE YOU START

Before planning your event, please read and confirm our terms and conditions.

 

2. PLAN PLAN PLAN

Please complete and return our Fundraising Form  to register your event with us. We’ll do our very best to help you. Choose a date and venue that suits – at home, at school, at work or in your local community centre. Recruit some friends, family or colleagues to help you out – delegate, delegate, delegate!

 

3. GET THE WORD OUT

Use social media, email or text to get the word out among your friends, family and colleagues. We can post the details up on our Featured Events Page on our website as well. Organising it at school? Let your classmates know by making event posters and share our short intro video with them. Go the extra mile and inform your local paper, display posters in the local shops. The more people know about it, the more funds you’ll raise.

 

4. ASK FOR MONEY

Ensure you figure out how best to raise funds at your event.  It could be a bucket collection, or donations in return for whatever service or goods you’re providing e.g a donation in return for coffee, tea and cake at a Coffee Morning.  You could even consider a raffle at your event to add extra umph to your total!  Approach local businesses or shops who are usually more than happy to donate prizes (we can provide you with a letter from us as proof it’s all above board!)

 

5. ADD LAURALYNN SPARKLE

We have posters, balloons, stickers and t-shirts available to really add a LauraLynn presence on the day.  You can download our pretty LauraLynn Bunting and Poster or why not show our video on the day to really show those attending where their important donations will be spent.

 

6. AFTER THE EVENT 

Make sure to thank anyone who helped you and let them know how much you raised for us thanks to their fantastic contribution. Send in your funds raised by doing any of the following:

  • online at www.lauralynn.ie/donate
  • send a cheque / postal order / bank draft to: LauraLynn Children’s Hospice, Leopardstown Road, Foxrock, Dublin 18. Make payable to: CSH/LauraLynn Trust Project Fundraising Dept A/c
  • Lodge to our bank account –  IBAN: IE86 AIBK 9335 7003 2206 23 and Swift/Bic No. AIBKIE2D at AIB Sandyford.
  • Please use your name as a reference so we know who it’s from, otherwise you may be logged as anonymous.

 

However how much you raise, please be assured your support will make a real difference to the children and families who rely on our care.
