LauraLynn Tee’s off with The Rory Foundation

19 May

LauraLynn are delighted to play a special part in this year’s Irish Open as one of the chosen charities to benefit from The Rory Foundation on May 19th – 22nd.

The 2016 Dubai Duty Free Irish Open teed off at the K Club in Kildare this morning, and this year LauraLynn Children’s Hospice is delighted to be playing a part in the tournament as one of the beneficiaries of The Rory Foundation. The other two chosen charities are the Jack and Jill Foundation and Barrettstown. The Rory Foundation, will be supporting these three fantastic Irish children’s charities as part of its Irish Open charity partnership , with a percentage of the proceeds from the ticket sales being shared.

LauraLynn is welcoming supporters to the pavilion in the tented village which is a customised space offering visitors an opportunity to meet our team and talk about the kind of work we do. There will also be a chance to emulate ‘wee Rory’ by testing your skills and pitching into a washing machine!

Lauralynn, Ireland’s Children’s Hospice provides palliative care to children with life-limiting conditions and their families. There are approximately 4000 children living with a life-limiting condition in Ireland today and 350 of these children pass away each year, most within their first year of life.

CEO of LauraLynn, Sharon Morrow said: “We would really encourage anyone attending the Irish Open this Thursday and Friday to pop in to the Pavilion and meet some of the LauraLynn Team and families.  I want to thank Rory McIlroy, and his team at the Foundation, for the wonderful work they are doing for really worthy causes, and for selecting us along with two other great children’s charities. It is a major endorsement of all the work of everyone at LauraLynn”.

LauraLynn encourages all supporters to visit their pavilion in the tented village.
