The National Gallery of Ireland recently launched a dynamic display which highlights the importance of the Arts for all children, including children living with life-limiting conditions, entitled ‘The Much More Magnificent Seven – LauraLynn at the Abbey Theatre’.
The National Gallery of Ireland, working closely with LauraLynn, Ireland’s Children’s Hospice, will showcase the beautiful story of seven children living with a life-limiting condition who recently took to the stage at The Abbey Theatre to perform ‘The Much More Magnificent Seven’, a story written by storyteller, Paul Timoney, but wholly inspired by the lives of the children.
This original performance was held in conjunction with the Abbey Theatre, Kids’ Classics at the National Concert Hall and the National Gallery of Ireland.
This enchanting exhibition will celebrate each of the seven children who took part in this production, while also focusing on the importance of the Arts for all children. The display will include photographs of each child onstage at the Abbey Theatre, in their magical, unicorn chariots, and feature hand painted illustrations that will bring the story of the Much More Magnificent Seven to life.
Visitors can also experience some of the magic of the original Abbey performance by playing music, dressing up and having fun exploring the Magnificent Seven Sensory Box.< Back to News
