Statement regarding LauraLynns position on the recent negative publicity about charities.

4 Dec

LauraLynn House, Irelands first Children’s Hospice, which was opened in September 2011 receives no HSE or state funding of any kind and is wholly dependent on fundraising income.

Our disability services provided in the Children’s Sunshine Home are funded under Section 38 of the Health Act 2004 and we are one of seven charitable organisations in Ireland who are fully compliant with HSE and Department of Health pay-scales.

Furthermore, none of our fundraising money is used for executive salaries or salary top ups of any kind and our board members who work with LauraLynn on a voluntary basis, receive no fees or remunerations for their involvement with LauraLynn.

Finally, we would like to thank all of our supporters, volunteers and staff for their ongoing support for LauraLynn. Without the generosity and kindness of all our supporters we would not be able to provide services for any of the children, young people and their families at LauraLynn. Thank you.
