LauraLynn celebrated Children’s Hospice Week 2023 from May 15th -21st and as the campaign wraps up, Ireland’s only children’s hospice wants to thank all those who helped make the week such a success.
The theme this year for Children’s Hospice Week was ‘Caring for the Child, Supporting the Family’ shining a light on how LauraLynn’s care and support extends not only to siblings and parents but also to the wider family including grandparents.
During Children’s Hospice Week LauraLynn made the exciting announcement that they will soon expand in-home care to children and their families across the Limerick region.
As part of the campaign, LauraLynn raised awareness through radio advertising running across multiple stations including FM104, Limerick Live 95FM, Galway Bay FM, Clare FM, Radio Kerry and Cork’s Red FM.
LauraLynn also had advertising displayed at bus shelters and in shopping centres across Dublin, Cork, Limerick and Kerry as well as digital advertising across news platforms and our social media channels.
Thank you to all of the broadcast, print and digital journalists who took time to get to know more about LauraLynn and meet with some of our amazing LauraLynn children and families.
LauraLynn would like to thank all of the children and families who took part in this year’s Children’s Hospice week by sharing their stories through media interviews, video and social. These incredible brave families helped throughout the week to raise awareness of LauraLynn and Children’s Hospice Week.
To all of the wonderful staff and volunteers across LauraLynn who helped make the week such a success, thank you!
Finally, thank you to all of our amazing donors who donated during Children’s Hospice Week. Without your support we would not be able to continue to provide care to children with life-limiting conditions and support to their families.
LauraLynn CEO, Kerry McLaverty, says;
‘’As we wrap up Children’s Hospice Week 2023, I would like to send a heartfelt thank you to all of our amazing donors who donated during the week, to all of our supporters who helped spread our message and to all of the LauraLynn families who so beautifully shared their stories in the media and across our social media channels during the week to help raise awareness for us, we are so grateful and appreciative to you. Thank you also to the media who gave us platforms to share our story and helped us reach so many people across the week and thank you to all of our wonderful, dedicated staff and volunteers for making the campaign such a success’’.
