Sporting Proud Triathlon 2020
Sporting Proud has been cancelled for 2020. The organising committee did everything to keep the event going but it was not to be.
Unfortunately Sporting Proud has been cancelled for 2020. While the incredible organising committee did everything possible to keep the event going this year it was not to be. Unbelievably this is the first time in its 23 year history that it has had to be cancelled so you can bet that 2021 will see the return of the event and it will be twice the celebration!

LauraLynn Ireland’s Children’s Hospice is delighted to be taking part in the Sporting Proud Triathlon again this year.
For a rewarding personal challenge or the ultimate fun corporate team builder – this is not to be missed! And with a relay team option and two different distance levels, there are no excuses!
This unique challenge caters to all levels of fitness from beginners to elite triathletes. Athletes can compete as individuals or get a team of three together and designate a runner, cyclist and swimmer. Choose between two distances – Sprint (750m swim, 20km cycle and 5km run) and Olympic (1.5km swim, 40km cycle and 10km run).
Registration
Individual participants are asked to pay a registration fee of €150 and to raise an additional €100. Teams (3 persons) are asked to pay a registration fee of €300 and to raise an additional €450. Your Registration Fee is included in your fundraising total. For any company entering teams, please contact Niamh for details of how to register and request an invoice for Registration Fees.
In accordance with COVID-19 restrictions and safety requirements, final approval will be required from the Wicklow County Council. The event will also need to operate based on the restrictions as they stand at that time. The team are doing everything they can to ensure all of this happens and we envisage the event going ahead as scheduled.
In the unfortunate event that it cannot proceed, you will be given a choice of a refund of your registration or you can still donate your registration fee to the charity you have chosen and you can complete your own 10km walk cycle near your home instead.
