Head of Finance

The Role:
The Head of Finance is responsible for the overall management of finance at LauraLynn. A key aspect of the role is to support the Board to make timely decisions, to govern and manage the organisation effectively by providing all necessary, appropriate and relevant financial information.
The Head of Finance will also help ensure that LauraLynn achieves its business objectives internally and externally, building the service’s impact and reputation and ensuring its future success, financial governance and funding stability.
The post holder will work closely with the Board, CEO and each member of the Executive Management Team. He/she will also be expected to meet the reporting requirements, including Service Level Agreements, Annual Compliance Statements, and any ad hoc requests for financial information, of the Health Service Executive. The Head of Finance heads a team of four.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Possess a recognised and relevant professional accounting qualification (e.g. ACCA, ACA, CIMA, CPA)
- Minimum five years’ experience in a senior financial management position in a charity, not for profit or health related sector
- Good working knowledge of computers and computerised financial systems
- Whilst not essential it would be an advantage to have a good knowledge/experience of the public health services
