On Friday 11th October staff across LauraLynn are donning their favourite hats to show support for Hats on for Children's Palliative Care (#HatsOn4CPC), International Children’s Palliative Care Network's (ICPCN) annual campaign. Now in its 11th year, this global initiative raises awareness and advocates for children and young people living with palliative care needs.
We’re encouraging everyone to get involved by wearing their favourite hat, whether it’s a funny dress-up hat or a cozy winter woolly. And it’s not only the staff who are getting involved, some of our amazing children have also designed their very own creative hats in the lead-up to the day!
Take a look at some of our LauraLynn team taking their hats off for palliative care.
New This Year: Childhood Needs Magic Film
We are also delighted to share a very special short film titled Childhood Needs Magic, launched on Hats on for Children’s Palliative Care Day by Together for Short Lives. The film hopes to change the way people understand children’s palliative care and bring attention to the magic of childhood—no matter how short—through the eyes of four children supported by palliative care teams. It beautifully illustrates the power of children’s palliative care in helping children and families live life to the fullest.
