On Thursday, September 19th, LauraLynn’s Liz O'Donoghue, joined mum Nikkita Fay and her six-year-old son Reuben on Virgin Media's Ireland AM to celebrate the programme’s 25th anniversary and to thank viewers for their generosity over the years.

Ireland AM has been an incredible supporter of LauraLynn since its opening in 2011, motivating thousands of viewers across the nation to raise funds for Ireland’s only children’s hospice to this day. The generous Ireland AM viewers have raised an astonishing €520,000 for LauraLynn.

Today, that equates to over 15,500 palliative care nursing hours for children at the hospice or at a family’s wish in the comfort of a child’s own home.

Nikkita spoke movingly about their experience with LauraLynn, emphasising the compassionate care and vital support they have received.

This milestone celebration on Ireland AM not only highlighted the incredible work of LauraLynn but also the generosity of viewers who have helped make such a difference.

Assistant Director of Nursing Liz O’Donoghue shared: “Providing the support that we can to help children to live that best life is really the joy of the work that we do in LauraLynn.”

LauraLynn, Ireland’s Children’s Hospice, continues to provide essential services completely free of charge to children and families across Ireland, from crisis and end-of-life care to bereavement support. As we celebrate Ireland AM and the generosity of the public, we look forward to continuing to make moments that matter for families like the Reuben’s.
