LauraLynn, Ireland’s Children’s Hospice is thrilled to have been chosen as a beneficiary of funding from The Late Late Toy Show Appeal and will receive €40,000 in funds to go towards the expansion of the ‘LauraLynn Munster Service’ from the Toy Show appeal 2022.
Welcoming the news, LauraLynn CEO, Kerry McLaverty said: "LauraLynn is so grateful to be chosen for funding as part of the Toy Show Appeal. We wish to extend a huge thank you to The Late Late Show team and to the generosity of the Irish public and Late Late Toy Show viewers without whom this would not be possible. The team at the Late Late Show have always been such wonderful supporters of ours and the Toy Show team have made dreams come true for so many children in our service who got the opportunity to appear on the show and be part of the Toy Show magic. This funding comes at a very exciting time for LauraLynn as we continue to expand and grow, reaching more children with life-limiting conditions and their families across Ireland than ever before.’’
Toy Show viewers helped to raise over €4 million, and that money will be used to help children in every county across the island of Ireland. Last year the Toy Show appeal supported over 150 registered Children's Charities and groups across Ireland.
Community Foundation Ireland, estimate that the appeal will support over 1.2 million children and family members this year, and beyond.
The Late Late Toy Show Appeal is being administered by The Community Foundation for Ireland.
