We are delighted to share that several team members from LauraLynn, Ireland's Children's Hospice, played significant roles in the 6th All Island Children’s Palliative Care Conference, held on April 25th and 26th at the Midlands Park Hotel in Portlaoise, Co. Laois. The theme of this year’s conference was "Challenging the Boundaries: Antenatal to Adulthood."
A special congratulations goes to Head of Clinical Education Fiona Woods, who co-chaired the conference, and our Clinical Nurse Specialist, Vicky Malik, who presented on the LauraLynn holistic needs assessment. Their leadership and expertise were instrumental in showcasing the vital work LauraLynn does to support children with life-limiting conditions and their families.
We also want to thank our other attendees: Joanne Balfe, Sue Clinton, Laura Losada, Niamh McEnerney, Marie Lynch, Lisa McAuliffe, Louise Keegan, Anna Brown, Ann Prendergast, Helen Arthur, and Lorna Collins. Your participation was invaluable, enriching the discussions and sharing innovative approaches to children’s palliative care.
The conference provided a fantastic opportunity for professionals across the island to exchange knowledge, discuss challenges, and explore new methods to improve care for children. The contributions of our team members helped enhance these important discussions.
