Who We Are
LauraLynn is a hospice for children with life-limiting conditions and residential care for children and young adults with disabilities. We employ approximately 140 staff within our teaching, fundraising and care provision departments.
LauraLynn, Ireland’s Children’s Hospice was formed in 2011 following the merging of the long-standing Children’s Sunshine Home and the LauraLynn Foundation, founded by Jane and Brendan McKenna. It provides a ‘Community of Care’ that comprises the only children’s hospice in Ireland (LauraLynn Hospice Service) as well as two local disability services (LauraLynn Disability Service). Our services are operated from our main campus in Leopardstown, Dublin 18 and from our Hospice Community Team in Mallow, Co. Cork and Ballinasloe, Co. Galway.
LauraLynn is committed to upholding the highest levels of governance across our clinical, corporate and fundraising activities. We operate to the ‘triple lock’ standard of good governance and are fully compliant with all required standards including:
- HSE Compliance Statement
- HIQA Regulations
- CHKS Accreditation
- Charity Regulator
- Fundraising Standards
- SORP Financial Reporting
