The BMW Berlin Marathon is one of the world’s greatest marathons, with over 40,000 entries expected from 100 countries in 2019. The course is flat, traffic-free and fast – in fact the fastest course in the world, the world record has been broken five times in Berlin in the past ten years. This is one of the Big Six Marathons and places are always in high demand.

The 46th edition of the race starts at 9.15am on the six-lane Strasse des 17 Juni. The marathon is run in an average annual temperature of 13C. The course takes in some of East and West Berlin’s great sights, before finishing close to the start area at the magnificent Brandenburg Gate and the Reichstag. Showers, massage and refreshments are provided at the finish area.
