In March, LauraLynn submitted an entry in the Point of Care Foundation’s Schwartz Round Awards.
Schwartz Rounds are structured, confidential meetings for all staff in an organisation to consider the caring and human dimensions of their work. In LauraLynn, Schwartz Rounds usually take place each month. A theme is decided for each round and colleagues from across the service share a story relating to that theme.
The 2021 Schwartz Awards are in recognition of all those who have worked tirelessly throughout the pandemic to continue providing support and care to colleagues through Schwartz Rounds.
LauraLynn entered the ‘Shining Star’ category, nominating Amanda Vaughan who has been integral to the success of Schwartz Rounds in LauraLynn for many years.
We are delighted to announce that Amanda’s passion for Schwartz Rounds impressed the judges and LauraLynn took home the award!
Amanda has ensured that Schwartz Rounds have continued to provide support for LauraLynn Teams despite immense pressures and limitations in meeting face-to-face due to Covid-19. Schwartz Rounds have moved virtual and because of Amanda and the Schwartz Round Committee, they have been a wonderful success.
Well done to Amanda and thank you to all our colleagues who contributed to our video entry for the awards.
