September is a month of celebration in LauraLynn as we mark our 12th birthday today with lots of cakes and treats while also taking time to reflect on the growth and accomplishments of our services over the last 12 years.
It’s 12 years since we opened our doors and what an amazing 12 years it has been. Let’s have a look back on the past year in celebration.
In December 2022 Taoiseach, Micheál Martin, joined LauraLynn to officially mark the opening of our new LauraLynn in the Community service in Mallow, Cork, bringing specialist hospice care and supports into the homes of children with life-limiting conditions and their families across Cork, Kerry and Limerick. With continued growth we are reaching more children and families than ever before and look forward to continued expansion in our 12th year.
We are also proud to acknowledge standards achieved this past year including our Triple Lock Certification. The Triple Lock Certification recognises our commitment to good governance, ethical fundraising and transparent financial reporting. We also received accreditation by CHKS in the last year. This means our processes and standards meet internationally-recognised best practice, legislation and regulatory requirements.
The last year has seen us come together many times. From our black-tie Heroes Ball in March to our Family Fun Day in August and most recently the LauraLynn Oscars in September. It has been a busy year for LauraLynn and as always, the dedication and commitment of our fundraising partnerships and supporters has been incredible this year. This support helps us to continue providing care to children with life-limiting conditions and their families all across Ireland.
Happy Birthday LauraLynn!
